Miscellaneous Doings
Well, FloofyQ won a picture contest! One of my dog forums had a summer fun contest and the one of Floof sniffing a bass won the contest! Now maybe that will get her at least one "get out of trouble free" card with Partner heheh.It's busy at work this time of year so I really don't have a lot else going on. We did transplant some Hostas that had been creeping out into our yard to a shady spot by the back shed, and so far they're still alive. We'll see! It would be nice not to have a mud hole back there anymore. Funny thing is, the dogs never stepped in that area before ... until we planted the hostas there! ... figures.
Jewelry hasn't been being made for lack of time, but I did go pick some grape leaves recently and made dolmas, which are like stuffed peppers or cabbage rolls, only with grape leaves, and usually bite sized when you pick the wild leaves. They turned out ok but I had run out of cracked wheat and had to use brown rice. That made them a bit crunchy, since the cooking time didn't allow for the rice to cook all the way. Brown rice seems to take longer. But they are ok.
Just wanted to get a post in so I don't go another 2 months (like some of you I won't mention!!) without one :)
